Ford's F-150 Expands Into Police Work

The 2018 Ford F-150 will be a great truck. How do we know? Well, if it's good enough for police work, it'll be good enough for you.

Ford, as reported by Autonews.com, has unveiled the new Police Responder version of its anticipated new truck, the 2018 Ford F-150. Utilizing the F-150's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine option, the Police Responder will have 375 horsepower, 470 pounds-feet torque, and 7,000 pounds of towing capacity at its disposal. With 132 cubic feet of cargo space and top speed of 100 MPH, it will be well-equipped to handle everything law enforcement officers might encounter.

The F-150 being a good fit for police work isn't likely to surprise many familiar with Ford's trucks. Previous F-150s distinguished themselves with their versatility and the 2018 edition looks poised to do the same. There will be seven unique versions of it at launch, with five engine options to provide options for every truck driver.
