Watch Edmunds Test the 2016 Focus RS's Acceleration

The latest review Edmunds posted of the 2016 Ford Focus RS is unique in a few important ways.

First of all, it's the 2016 model, not the brand-new model. This may not seem like such a big deal to those in the know—there have been very few changes between model years, including engine output holding steady at 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque—but enthusiasts having a hard time getting their hands on a limited-edition 2018 Focus RS can rest assured that a pre-owned model is just as much fun.

Second, Edmunds Road Test Manager Jonathan Elfalan tested the Focus RS under realistic conditions. Often, an automaker will advertise lightning-fast 0-to-60 times that almost nobody who buys the vehicle will ever achieve. Most of us are not professional race car drivers, and most of us won't be driving around with the suspension set to Track Mode.
