Ford has already announced a multitude of exclusive vehicle mods that they plan to exhibit at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association auto show, which will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 5 to November 8.

Among the recently announced custom-built models are the Ford Ranger, the Ford Escape. Now, the iconic Ford Explorer and massive Ford Expedition have joined the lineup. Let’s take a look at these four custom-modified SUVs.

Blood Type Racing Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid

For this custom build, the team at Blood Type Racing embraced the concept of sustainable exploration both on and off the beaten path. A half-inch suspension leveling kit plus a Ford Performance skid plate paired with a set of 20-inch Ace Alloy AFF09 black chrome wheels wrapped in Toyo Tires Open Country A/T II rubber completely raises the bar for hybrid capability.

A Borla cat-back exhaust system with black chrome tips also perfectly accommodates the beautiful sound of the 3.3-liter hybrid V-6 engine. When you add some additional utility pieces, such as exterior design accent by Lacks Trim Systems and two custom BTR Edition snowboards from Blank Snowboards strapped to a Yakima carrier via the signature Ford Accessories roof rack cross bars, you truly have the ideal hybrid Explorer.

CGS Performance Products Ford Explorer ST

The 2020 Explorer ST is already an impressive performance machine, but now with a few key modifications from CGS Performance, it’s become even more vibrant and powerful.

Performance has been raised thanks to a custom cat-back exhaust by Borla which boasts visually striking carbon fiber tips. Additional design elements like massive 24-inch Savini wheels complete with Pirelli P-Zero tires and a sleek gray paint job with tasteful red accents by Sikkens help to further amplify this Explorer’s appearance.

Prefix 2020 Ford Explorer

The team at Prefix decided to transform this 2020 Explorer into the king of racetrack support vehicles. This SUV serves as a tribute to the men and women work work behind-the-scenes to enhance the safety and support of motorsports.

As such, Prefix needed to ensure this Explorer looks good on the track. They accomplished this goal by lowering the suspension and adding elements like a Ford Performance skid plate and 20-inch GWG wheels wrapped in Michelin tires. Additionally, a Whelen emergency siren/signal system, Ford Performance recovery kit, and a Ford Accessories first-aid and roadside assistance kits ensure that this SUV is up to its heroic task.
