The automotive experts at Motor Trend recently took a first look at an all-new 2017 F-150 equipped with the 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Producing 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, this easy-to-drive truck offers all the power you need, and then some.
With a 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds, this truck instrument-tested a quarter-mile time of 14.7 seconds at 95 mph (not that we recommend speeding). Add on a 7,000-pound trailer, and the truck hardly breaks a sweat, running 0-60 in 13.0 seconds and the quarter-mile in 19.3 seconds.
Associate editor Scott Evans noted, “Ford has this turbo engine dialed now. No more big delay while boost builds to get moving with a trailer. This truck has demonstrated that the future of trucks is turbocharging.” The truck also features improved steering and a shortened braking distance, so it’s even easier for you to enjoy the interior amenities and quiet ride while you’re on the road.
