The new Ford Explorer gets 23 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway, compared to 19 MPG city and 26 MPG highway for the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Dodge Durango offers solid efficiency with 19 MPG city and 26 MPG highway, but it cannot compare to the new Explorer.
